What is IRC (Internet Relay Chat)?
IRC allows groups of people to converse in a simultaneous discussion on a common topic. From CQUEST workstations, account holders can join IRC sessions operating on other Internet Service Providers. CQUEST does not permit the hosting of IRC sessions. CQUEST account holders should not set up IRC hosting service or install IRC server on CQUEST’s workstations or servers. The CQUEST workstations DOES NOT have spare computing cycles to allow hosting. Account holders creating IRC hosts on CQUEST will face disciplinary action in accordance with the CQUEST Usage Policy.
