What is involved with a leak detection survey?
Will the leak detection disrupt my service? It’s not expected to. Field crews need to have the water on to “hear” leaks. If for any reason water service needs to be turned off for a brief period, homeowners will be notified by DWR’s standard procedures prior to any turnoff. How will leaks in the system be handled? The leaks will be placed on a repair list based on their severity. The most severe leaks will receive top priority and will be repaired as crews are available, including during the survey period. Other leaks will be repaired as crews are available.
