What is involved in voice restoration?
Dr. Gerald Berke at UCLA has a voice restoration program where he injects Botox or collagen into the larynx which causes swelling and, in many cases, increased volume. It apparently works best when there is no slurring, but just low volume. The PWPSP may have to learn to expel a greater quantity of air before going ahead with this procedure.
