What is involved in the GREENGUARD product certification process?
Certification demands corporate commitment from a manufacturer to produce non-toxic low-emitting products on a consistent basis. Manufacturers work with one of GEI’s scientific partners to develop a certification plan for all products seeking certification. Various manufacturing reviews and material testing is conducted to establish representative certification categories. Once categories are certified, manufacturers participate in on-going quality monitoring and annual re-verification of product performance.
