What is involved in the clinic externship requirement?
Students in either of the Small Animal Technician programs must complete 200 hours of clinical training in an approved veterinary clinic and have practiced a detailed checklist of technician duties and skills. An additional 24 hours of specific concentration in the clinic is required for the lab portion of the program. The Veterinary Receptionist program has an 8-hour laboratory requirement.
