What is involved in the administration of an estate?
Administration is the process of carrying out the terms of the Will once the Will has been admitted to probate and Letters Testamentary have been issued. Administration includes: Sending the required notice(s) to creditors; Filing the necessary Inventory, Appraisement and List of Claims with the probate court and obtaining the Courts approval; Collecting the assets of the deceased; Paying the taxes, expenses and debts of the estate; and Distributing the assets to the beneficiaries.
