What is involved in taking a correspondence course?
Once you have registered for a Distance Education course, paid your fees, and have claimed your UM computer account at “ClaimID” , you will have online access to your course through the universities learning management system called ANGEL. You will find your Course Manual in ANGEL by clicking on the “Lessons” tab. This manual will provide you with administrative details regarding textbooks, assignments, exams, grading criteria and an overview of the course. It also gives a unit-by-unit guide for your studies and may include review exercises and additional readings. You will also receive a letter from your Instructor, either online or by mail, which will provide you with contact phone numbers, specific requirements of the Instructor, and information on formats for assignments. If at any time, you do not understand some aspect of your course, call your Instructor.
