I’m going tomorrow to get a pregnancy test and I was wondering how they do it. Is it a blood test? And also, how long does it take for them to get the results? Thanks! If all they do is a urine test how are they any more effective than me taking a test at home? A: It’s not any more effective than doing it at your house. Just go to the local walmart, get a few different brands of PTs, pee on them, wait a while, and if they all say you’re pregnant…then you’re pregnant. After that, go to the doctor and get a blood test just to be sure.
