What is involved in developing dynamic web pages that a marketing team can update?
Here’s the background: I am a marketing executive for a small company that is redesigning its website (at my recommendation – the last site had not been updated in 4 years). We’ve revamped our corporate identity and reworked our content (among many other things). While I’m involved in the strategy I really don’t understand much about the technology of getting the job done (it’s my first time leading a project like this). Problem: We’ve just received the quote from the company we want to work with and it seems incredibly high. What’s driving the price sky-high is the fact that I want 7 dynamic pages that our marketing team can update with new content on a regular basis. For example, I have an FAQ page that I want to add new questions and answers to as we receive them. I was always under the impression that websites could be updated rather easily…since in many cases, that’s the point of having a website – so that you can get current information to your audience as quickly as possible.
