What is involved in backing up a Mapped or Network Drive?

Although it is possible, we don’t recommend attempting to do this. It can become unreliable if the networked drive is unavailable at any point, plus if multiple computers are talking to a networked drive at the same time it’s trying to backup across the network it can become sluggish and fail to backup successfully. If you don’t want to incur the extra $5 per additional computer each month then you will want to setup your internal network to save all of these files on your main network file server. This way the backup process is just between the file server and your storage vault.
