What is Inverness Medical Innovations?
Mr. Lindop: Inverness is a public company with a global business focused on rapid diagnostics products. We are anticipating 375 million in revenues in 2004, and the majority of those revenues are in the rapid diagnostics arena, split between consumer diagnostics and point-of-care diagnostics. In the consumer business, we have a world market share leadership position in pregnancy and fertility testing for the home market. The other part of our diagnostics business is focused on point- of-care rapid diagnostics, and we have products in a variety of infectious disease, drugs of abuse and of course pregnancy testing. This is near-patient testing, generally done in the emergency room or in the doctor’s office, and it’s designed to permit the doctors to rapidly diagnose a condition that may be relevant to therapy.
