What is intraocular pressure?
Pressure within the eye is maintained by a delicate balance of the continuous flow of fluid necessary for the health of the eye. High pressure can damage the optic nerve contributing to peripheral vision loss. This condition is known as open angle glaucoma and untreated can result in complete vision loss.
