What is International Pre-Orientation?
International Pre-Orientation was recommended by current International Students here at the College to help give new students the chance to arrive on campus and settle in before O-Week begins. This three-day program will cover cultural and academic issues and should help you prepare for your first year in an American college classroom. The program begins on Wednesday, September 13th (This is two days before our domestic students are scheduled to arrive for Opening Day). On September 14th and 15th you would then participate in Pre-Orientation for International Students in which you would meet faculty members, staff and students who are here to help orient you to Chicago and the College. The sessions will focus particularly on life in College and the American Classroom, however we will also provide you with some time to relax in preparation for New Student Orientation.
