What is interlibrary loan (ILL)?
Interlibrary loan is designed to supplement materials available in the Ohio University collections and from other OhioLINK libraries. We are networked with over 5,000 libraries, major research libraries and document supply centers worldwide through the OCLC ILL system. We also have access to hundreds more institutions that do not use the OCLC ILL system. If you have an obscure or esoteric citation and haven’t a clue as to what libraries may own it, we still may be able to locate a potential lender.
Interlibrary Loan, also known as “ILL,” is a service that obtains materials from other libraries in the Kent State University 8-Campus system, statewide, nationally, and internationally. Books available through OhioLINK may be requested on the OhioLINK catalog by clicking on the Request This Item link. ILL generally does not obtain materials held at Kent State University, or journal articles available electronically through Kent State subscription or OhioLINK. Please let us know if you are experiencing difficulty downloading or printing an electronic journal article.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) offers Library customers the opportunity to request and receive books that are not owned by Jacksonville Public Library (JPL). Through ILL, you have access to the circulating book collections of all the library systems in Florida, as well as universities and public library systems throughout the United States.
