What is interlibrary loan and what are my librarys ILL policies and procedures?

0

Interlibrary loan (ILL) is the process by which a library requests materials from and/or supplies materials to another library. The purpose of interlibrary loan is to obtain, upon request of a library user, materials not available in the user’s local [i.e., Emory] library (National Interlibrary Loan Code for the United States). Therefore, the Emory libraries engage in interlibrary loan when they request materials from or supply materials to libraries outside Emory University. Interlibrary loan services at Emory are available only to Emory students, faculty and staff. Other library users should contact their primary academic, public or other library regarding interlibrary loan services.
