What is inositol and in what AdvoCare® products is it present?
Inositol is a substance that is chemically related to sugar. It is also known as m-inositol, hexahydroxycyclohexane, cyclohexitol and meat sugar. It is widely distributed in plants and animals and is a growth factor for animals and microorganisms. Inositol is an essential component of cell membrane phospholipids, and also is a constituent of a chemical called phosphatidylinositol which serves as a neurotransmitter. Various derivatives of inositol are found in plants as well as animal meats. In general, it is well absorbed but is not used as a sweetener although it can be defined as a sugar alcohol. Inositol is present in the following AdvoCare products: CorePlex®; CorePlex® with Iron; CorePlex® Chewable; Herbal Cleanse; Meal Replacement Shakes; Post-Workout Recovery and AdvoCare Spark®.
