What is Initiatives For Women (IFW)?
Initiatives For Women is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the educational and professional goals of women at the University at Albany. To that end, IFW participates in a variety of activities each year (such as the Annual Fall Dinner and the spring Freihofer Community Walk) to raise money to support recipients chosen through an annual round of applications. Most of the award money comes from individuals who have made donations to support campus women.
