A. When you download Nessus, you receive the Nessus 4 scanning engine (server) and the NessusClient (client) software. To receive updates from Tenable under either a ProfessionalFeed or HomeFeed, you will need to register your scanner with Tenable through Nessus.org. Nessus 4 for Unix/Linux platforms is not distributed with a GUI client. Tenable recommends installing NessusClient for Unix/Linux systems which is available for download from Nessus.org. Both Nessus 4 Windows and Mac OS X clients can be used with the Nessus 4 Unix engine.
