What is ICNs 1-Meg HighSpeed service?
ICN’s 1-Meg HighSpeed service is based on a product from Nortel NetworksTM called the “1meg modem”. This modem sits beside your computer and connects to the phone line in your house (similar to a regular modem). The modem connects to your computer with a high-speed 10Mbps Ethernet connection. ICN provides an Ethernet card as part of the Starter kit you will receive when you sign-up with ICN. The service provides you with download speeds up to 30 times faster than a normal 28.8 analog modem.
