What is IBE and why is it so revolutionary?
IBE is a breakthrough invention that enables secure anytime, anywhere communication. Its beauty lies in its simplicity. Unlike PKI, IBE uses common identity such as e-mail addresses or IM screen names as the public key. As a result, IBE reduces the complexity and high total cost of ownership associated with PKI — e.g. the cost of certificates, Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs) and the lifecycle management of certificates. IBE also removes the need for pre-enrollment, thereby lowering the barrier of widespread adoption of secure communication.
