In simple language hypnosis is an entering into a relaxed state of mind where the subconscious mind comes to the forefront while the conscious mind is removed from the constancy of being in command your thoughts. The conscious mind is rational & analytical. It is molded and shaped by our experiences and influenced by a variety of sources, some of which include our teachings at home, school, and church, as well as the media which is ever-present in our daily lives. The subconscious mind on the other hand operates in an almost automatic manner & can be instructed to act in the best interests of an individual without obstruction from outside influences.
