Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) is a cancer research and patient care center on the campus of the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. HCI’s mission is to understand cancer from its beginnings, to use that knowledge in the creation and improvement of cancer treatments, to relieve the suffering of cancer patients, and to provide education about cancer risk, prevention, and care. The only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in the five-state Intermountain West, HCI serves patients with all types of cancer, using a multidisciplinary approach that facilitates the highest quality of care in a facility designed to provide the greatest comfort to patients and their family members.
