What is Hot Stick technology?
The hot stick is a friction heater. The hot stick is an apparatus that basically forces the water molecules to collide with each other to create friction, which in turn creates kinetic energy and heat. The hot stick is a PVC pipe divided into 12 small sections. All of the water that goes through your spa is forced through these small sections. By forcing fast moving water into a tight space, the water molecules collide with each other to create friction and heat. After they go through the small spaces, they then meet up in an empty chamber, where a vortex is created. This vortex forces the water to circulate as fast as it can in this chamber. The energy created by this fast moving water also creates heat. The advantages are many.
