What is Hope Christian Reformed Church?
Hope Christian Reformed Church was founded in 1986 as an offshoot from 1st Christian Reformed Church in Thunder Bay, Ontario. For nine years, we rented the Broadway United Church building on Francis Street in Westfort, sharing the building with that congregation. In early 1995 we purchased the old Crawford School building and its 2.3 acres of property on the corner of Francis and Crawford Street. Since May, 1995 we have been worshipping and developing programs from that site. Currently about 360 people belong to our church with more than half under age 20. Many youth, education and study programs are part of our church’s life. You can find out about them on this web page. We welcome visitors to our Sunday worship services at 10 AM. We have a new, large sanctuary and most often have vibrant services with coffee served after the morning service. There is a nursery available for the youngest children.
