What is Hop Up?
The ‘hop up’ mechanism creates a backspin on the bb that you can adjust. Increased backspin makes the bb rise and too much makes the bb arc upwards. Too little backspin and the bb arcs downward as it normally would. It’s an easy adjustment as you shoot, then adjust, then shoot again until you see the bb’s fly straight and true. This flattened trajectory provides more range and even better accuracy since you do not have to ‘lob’ the shots like a paintgun.
