What is honed stone?
Honed stone is a satin smooth surface finish with little or no gloss. Since most granite and marble are polished to a gloss at the quarry and shipped that way, we must re-finish the surface for any jobs requesting the finish to be honed. • Does stone that is honed stain more easily? A honed finish does not stain more easily. Once sealed, it has the same stain repellency as polished granite.
