What is HomeAid Michigan’s process for building homes?
HomeAid Michigan begins by identifying a local service provider who is in need of housing for its homeless citizens. This housing may serve populations that include (but are not limited to) abused women, emancipated youths, families with children, disabled veterans, or people living with an addiction. If necessary, HomeAid Michigan acts as a consultant with the service provider through the land acquisition and development pro forma stages. As those steps are finalized, HomeAid begins targeting resources and relationships within the building industry that are strategic to the proposed project. Most importantly, HomeAid Michigan identifies the right General Contractor or HomeAid Builder Captain to oversee the project. This Builder Captain becomes a central figure in securing trade partners to provide labor, materials and other services to a project.
