A. “Home-based private education program” is a program of educational instruction provided to a child by the child’s parent or guardian or designee of the parent or guardian. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to initiate transition planning. A parent/guardian should contact the IVRS office in their area. IVRS will proceed with processing an application for services if that is the wish of the parent/guardian. IVRS will explore with the parent/guardian others who may need to be involved in the transition planning process.
