What is Holi all about?
The festival of Holi is held during the month of Phalgun on a full moon day. In the earlier days, the Holi festival was held to celebrate a season of good harvest. But somewhere down the line, Holi began to be enjoyed by Indians purely as a time to enjoy playing with colours. The Holi celebrations also symbolize the arrival of Spring in India. This festival finds mention even in ancient Sanskrit texts.
