What is histroy football?
Football in America all started back in 1869 when 2 colleges Princeton vs Rutgers (THis is located in New Jersey) decided too challenge each other too a contest. The game they played was a combination of football and soccer (they got the idea from London FA,but customized the rules) there’s 25 players on each side and they could only move the ball forwards by kicking it or batting the ball with their feet,hands(thus making it different then soccer) heads or sides while trying too score a goal worth 1pt- first team that scored 10pts was the winner The playing field was 120 yards wide and 75 yards wide- today it’s 100X53 . The next big change in the sport was 1875 when the first game ball was introduced it was egg shape like a rugby ball the field was reduced too 100 yards and end zones where added.
