High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) is a mobile telephony protocol, a 3rd Generation (3G) technology, which provides a smooth evolutionary path for Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) -based 3G networks allowing for higher data transfer speeds. Current HSDPA deployments support 1.8 MB or 3.6 MB for downloads. Further steps to 14.4 MB and beyond are planned for the near future. Note: Though technology exist within the device, please check with your Cellular Service Provider for availability and pricing to use this feature.
