What Is High School Calculus?
Calculus is the term used to describe an important segment in the field of mathematics which is also applied in the areas of science, business etc. Its base is analytic geometry, expanding further by initiating the idea of the limit, which permits control over randomly small and randomly large numbers. Calculus is consisted of two major components, namely differential calculus and integral calculus, connected through the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, according to which, the derivative and integral are approximately inverse linear operators. Differential calculus is applied in several areas, some of them being the computations concerning position, velocity, acceleration, optimisation etc. Integral calculus is applied in several areas, some of them being volume, area, force etc. One can use calculus even to calculate the quantity of snow accumulated in one’s driveway.
