What Is Hershey Park All About?
Hershey Park is a theme park whose theme is Hershey Chocolate. The park is built around the Hershey chocolate factory in Hershey Pennsylvania. It’s in the middle of the state just east of Harrisburg and it’s only about a two or three hour drive from Philly. Like other theme parks, the mascots of this park are the different Hershey chocolate and candy bars. However, being in a heavily German settled area of Pennsylvania, there’s a subtle but strong German theme as well. It really began to occur to me that there was a German flavor to the park when I heard polka coming out of the loudspeakers. Weird enough was how I didn’t like this type of music yet it seemed to be the perfect type of music for an amusement park. Here you can get a meal of sausage and sauerkraut.
