Collections of Acts and Sessional Papers of Dominions legislatures, including annual reports of government departments, and of the official Gazettes of each territory, were maintained by the Dominions Office, as they had been by the Colonial Office. These are arranged by individual territory. Most of these record series continue to the mid-1970s or later, and are open without restriction. There are various private office papers and private collections, papers relating to Ireland (although never a colony, its relations with Britain were conducted by the Colonial Office until 1926, and thereafter by the Dominions Office), and selected correspondence which was printed for ease of internal circulation.
