What is heart disease and how does it occur? What strategies could you undertake to combat heart disease…?

Heart disease generally means your coronary arteries are slightly blocked which causes minor discomfort (angina) but could potentially be harmful (heart attack). They are many risk factors which cause heart disease i.e smoking, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high alcohol intake, physical inactivity, poor diet (high fat, salt), positive family history of heart problems. To combat heart disease you need to do the reversal of the risk factors I stated earlier. 30 mins of exercise a day, balanced diet, give up smoking. If you are already diagnosed with heart disease- you should be placed on tablets that will benefit you (to lower cholesterol and blood pressure).
