What Is Healthcare That Works?
We have adopted the name of one of our three calls to action — Healthcare That Works — as the title for the broad initiative now underway to transform the STHS family of hospitals and ancillary services so we can truly take advantage of our collective strengths. Healthcare That Works includes the work of the Financial Performance Improvement initiative and its Focus Area Teams as well as facility planning, strategic planning and other efforts to make us better and more efficient. It’s worth noting that STHS is one of several Ascension Health hospital systems undertaking this thorough process. Healthcare That Works describes the very practical focus of this work – identifying opportunities and implementing changes to make us a stronger, more efficient healthcare ministry. It also reminds us that we are united by a single mission: to ensure STHS remains strong so it can provide spiritually centered, holistic care that sustains and improves the health of the communities we serve.
