HD Access gives you access to the HD versions of the channels included in your programming package. It costs $9.99 per month and is required to receive HD channels. You can add it to any programming package. The PLUS HD DVR package already includes HD Access, so you do not need to add it to this package in order to receive HD channels. You’ll also want to consider DIRECTV HD Extra Pack, an add-on service available for just $4.99 per month that includes a special group of channels available only in HD.
