What is Harmonic Concordance?
There are two answers to this question. Firstly, Harmonic Concordance describes a certain, very rare alignment of the planets, which happened to occur in November 2003 at the same time as a total lunar eclipse. Secondly, it’s the name of our pagan choir. The choir’s first rehearsal took place just days before the Harmonic Concordance of 2003. What’s a pagan choir? The members of Harmonic Concordance are part of London’s pagan community. According to the 2001 census, there are approximately 45,000 pagans in the UK at the moment, yet we seem to be the only pagan choir in the country. As most singers will know, joining a choir generally comes hand in hand with masses, Christmas carols and other Christian works; members of Harmonic Concordance decided they wanted to sing works to which they felt a stronger emotional attachment. More about how the choir came to be can be found on the history page. Where can I hear you sing? We sing in both concert and ritual settings. Details of our upcomin
