The Tasmanian Government is pleased to announce that the Citta Property Group Pty Ltd is the Preferred Developer for the parliament square site. The winning design is by the architectural firm Francis Jones Morehen Thorp (FJMT). On 21 April 2008, the Treasurer Michael Aird announced a three stage process for redevelopment of the parliament square site. The final Request for Tender stage closed on 6 April 2009. The shortlisted conceptual site designs were taken to Public Exhibition from 22 April to 3 June 2009. An Exhibition Feedback Report analysing community feedback as to how the three conceptual site designs responded to the Project’s Design Principles was provided to the Evaluation Panel that assessed the tender proposals and assisted in the selection of a Preferred Developer. The Exhibition Feedback Report is now available.
