What is happening to the playground in Memorial Park?
The existing playground at the rear of the park will remain. How was the Memorial Park site selected? Several factors influenced the selection of the Memorial Park location. Please refer to the Newcastle Village Community Library Needs Assessment Study that discusses the strategy for the location, general size/design, services/service improvements and cost estimates for a new Library in Newcastle Village. Who designed the new library? Shoalts and Zaback, from Kingston, are the architects working on this project. They also designed the Bowmanville Branch of Clarington Public Library.
