However, there are lots of inconsistencies revolving around the same and it looks as if it is the handiwork of vested interests. The PIL has objected to the indiscriminate cutting of trees but this issue isn’t a civil case but a criminal case. But the PIL has been filed in a civil court. I admit that there has been a substantial increase in the number of hoardings in Mumbai in the last three four years. But the government has sanctioned all these hoardings. We have worked within the framework of the law and obtained relevant permissions. The largest spenders include FMCGs, white goods, telecom, TV channels amongst others. Recently, the launch of news channels was a boon for us. One thing I wish to say about TV channels is that their choice of hoardings isn’t very professional.
