What is happening in the Southern Expansion area of Glenmore Park?
Planning is underway for a Stage 2 expansion of the Glenmore Park estate to the south of the Blue Hills area. This proposed development will comprise of around 1500 dwellings, active and passive open space and biodiversity corridor along Surveyors Creek. In 2004 Council adopted a local environmental study for the new urban area. Landowners and consultants are currently working with Council Officers in the finalisation of specific studies that will underpin the new plan for the expansion area. Those studies include a traffic and transport plan, recreation and open space study, employment study, housing strategy and environmental study. Once these studies are completed, a draft zoning plan will be prepared for public exhibition.
