All the activity on the lake at present is part of the Kingston Foreshore project initiated by the ACT Government to create a lively attraction for the people of Canberra and guests to the city. An island has been created that will form part of the Kingston Foreshore Harbour. The Harbour will be home to many restaurants, cafes and specialty retail stores.
