What is happening at the former Belconnen Naval Transmitting Station site?
The former Belconnen Naval Transmitting Station site has been identified as surplus to the future requirements of Defence and is being prepared for disposal. Defence has recently completed a number of due diligence assessments and investigations relating to heritage, environment and infrastructure on the site. These investigations have identified the requirement for soil contamination remediation works and building repair works to be undertaken prior to disposal.
