What Is Gyrotonic Training?
Gyrotonic Training is an exercise modality that focuses on simultaneous stretching and strengthening of muscles and tendons to achieve better flexibility and endurance. It also has a strong focus on breathing techniques. It is inspired by elements from Yoga and Pilates but Gyrotonics is a complete exercise methodology in its own right with its own basic foundational principles. The Gyrotonic exercise concept was invented by Juliu Horvath. A professional dancer that recovered from his various bodily injuries that he sustained as a professional dancer through the methodology of Gyrotonic training.
