What is guarana?
Guarana (pronounced gwa-ra-naa) is a berry grown in the northern region of Brazil and Venezuela. The guarana berry (also referred to as a bean when roasted) contains an all-natural herbal component called guaranine, which is similar to the caffeine found in coffee or tea and lasts longer in the bloodstream. The name ‘guarana’ is derived from the Brazilian Guarani Indian tribe that believes the guarana berry has magical properties.
