What is Gridder?

Gridder is an open source project aimed at providing a suite of portlets that simplify the administration and execution of jobs on a Grid. It includes portlets to manage available tasks, view sent jobs and execute jobs. Gridder is geared towards providing a fixed set of tasks to end users, thereby increasing security. Only the administrator can edit tasks. Gridder allows task editing through its management portlet. Gridder supports many providers and jobmanagers. Support for GT2 and GT4 providers and Fork and PBS jobmanagers comes built-in. Gridder also gathers and makes available knowledge gained in the process of developing it. This knowledge is shared in the form of documentation.
