What is green/integrated infrastructure?
Infrastructure that incorporates appropriate technologies and green materials before complex or resource-intensive solutions. On-site and renewable resources are used wherever possible, and then supplemented by larger scale infrastructure as necessary. Infrastructure can also serve multiple objectives e.g. transportation (roads) and stormwater management (bioswales instead of curbs). This approach is more resource efficient, adaptable and sustainable.
