What is gravy browning?
Use it thus. Take the pan your sunday joint was roasted in with the meat juices still init and put it on the gas ring. Loosen the stuck bits with a wooden spoon. Pour in some of the water off the potatoes and stir. Mix some cornflour with a little cold water and slowly add to the meat juice/ water mix until it thickens to a coating consistency. Now take your gravy browning and pour a few drops on to the spoon and stir your gravy. It should darken. Add a little more if you need to until you get the desired colour. Pour over your dinner and enjoy.
