What is GPS and GPRS?
GPS is a satellite-based system that determines locations of the vehicle, including details like direction and speed, through the use of the 24-satellite Global Positioning System (GPS). GPRS is a wireless communication service offered by the operator that allows the vehicle positioning and smart Trans data to be synchronized back to the web-based application, enabling the traffic controller to obtain the coordinates and display the individual geographical position of each vehicle with the captured telematics information through a Internet-based command centre interactive menu.
